Calabogie, ON – July 28, 2025 — TWOth Autosport returned to their roots in grassroots racing over the NASCAR Canada weekend at Calabogie Motorsports Park, fielding a six-car lineup in the Rich Strike Ottawa Miata Challenge. With a mix of veterans and first-timers in the driver seat, the team delivered strong results across both races of the weekend, including multiple class podiums and an overall race win.
The driver roster featured a blend of talent and experience:

#72 Aidan Shimbashi
Race 1 saw impressive performances from the entire TWOth squad. Rookie Aidan Shimbashi, in his first-ever race at Calabogie, made an immediate impact by finishing 2nd overall, just behind local expert Owen Clark. Fellow newcomer Marie-Soleil Labelle stunned in her Miata debut, winning the MC3 class and finishing 8th overall. Additional team highlights included Leon Leblanc (5th – MC2), Richard L’Abbé (7th – MC2), Jon Vance (5th – MC3), and Steve Sharzer (8th – MC3), rounding out a strong team showing.
In Race 2, the momentum continued. Shimbashi went one better, beating Clark to take the overall win. Labelle continued to impress with a 7th-place overall finish, while Leblanc followed closely in 8th overall and 5th in MC2. L’Abbé stayed consistent with 8th in MC2, while Vance and Sharzer wrapped up the weekend with 6th and 7th in MC3, respectively.

It’s always special to support a major event like NASCAR, and seeing our drivers—especially the newer ones—take big steps forward in their development made it even better,” said Team Principal Travis Hill. “It’s a great reminder of what this series is all about: building talent, gaining experience, and having fun.”
