Bowmanville, ON – July 14, 2025 — It was a weekend of firsts and forward momentum for TWOth Autosport at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park as the team made further progress in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge with their Porsche GT4 RS Clubsport and Team Principal Travis Hill stepped up for his IMSA Weathertech debut with ERA Motorsport in their no.18 Shopify LMP2.
TWOth Autosport’s Porsche GT4 entry in the VP Challenge made an immediate impact with driver Chris Walsh claiming a podium finish in Race 1, a stellar continuation of good momentum for both driver and team in the ultra-competitive series. The team’s #22 Porsche Cayman GT4 showed excellent pace throughout the weekend, with Walsh bringing the fight to the series-leading Toyotas.
Unfortunately, Race 2 was canceled due to extreme weather conditions and will be rescheduled to Virginia International Raceway later this month. That sets up a triple-header weekend for the TWOth Autosport crew at VIR, and the team is eager to carry their early momentum into a packed and promising race schedule.
In addition to their GT4 program, team principal Travis Hill made his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut in the no.18 Shopify LMP2 car with ERA Motorsport. Hill stepped in for full-season regular Tobias Lütke, joining veteran Ryan Dalziel behind the wheel.
Despite some performance struggles with the car that limited outright competitiveness, Hill impressed in his first outing in the high-downforce prototype, running closely on pace with his experienced teammate. The duo brought the car home in 7th place overall, a solid finish and a valuable experience for Hill in the top-tier LMP2 class.
“Getting the call-up to drive in WeatherTech with ERA and Shopify was a massive opportunity,” said Hill. “The car was a handful at times, but sharing the seat with Ryan and competing in front of a home crowd was something I won’t soon forget. I’m grateful for the chance and definitely hope to be back in an LMP2 again soon.”
The team now sets its sights on VIR, where THREE VP Challenge races await. TWOth Autosport is confident that both Chris Walsh and the Porsche GT4 will be podium threats once again, with Walsh currently sitting 5th overall and 2nd in the Bronze class.
